Open Positions

Join us!

We are actively recruiting motivated graduate students and postdocs with an interest in statistical and population genetics. Work in the lab ranges from theoretical modeling to analysis of large-scale genomic and phenotypic data. More details on research can be found on the Research page. We are committed to training students from diverse academic backgrounds and with different professional goals and welcome informal inquiries.

Postdocs

Interested applicants should email me directly with a brief cover letter describing their interests and research background, CV, and contact information of at least 2 references. Informal inquiries are welcome. Our work is entirely computational and therefore, a quantitative background and experience in a programming language (e.g. R, Python, and shell scripting) is essential. We offer competitive salaries and will make every effort to accommodate students’ personal and professional needs.

Graduate Students

At the moment, prospective PhD students can apply through the Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology, and Genetics (MCDB&G) umbrella program, through Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BiCB), or through Health Informatics. It may also be possible in the future to apply through Ecology and Evolutionary Biololgy (EEB). I highly encourage students to reach out before applying so that I might be able to guide them to the right program based on their interests.
